Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Catarino Cardoso started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zarco Figueira in the 8th minute of play forced AmarSul Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ricardo Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Alexandre Liberato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Coimbra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, SC Macieira's Catarino Cardoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Coimbra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Geraldo Liberato took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Coimbra. AmarSul Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudemiro Lobato got free with David Cerqueira in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudemiro Lobatos short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got David Cerqueira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ricardo Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Liberato in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, AmarSul Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Cardoso came free, but Ricardo Coimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudemiro Lobato had several of the SC Macieira's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed David Cerqueira as he didn't even see the shot coming. SC Macieira's David Cerqueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Macieira from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudemiro Lobato stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, SC Macieira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. After 52 minutes, Homero Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Macieira and the AmarSul Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Macieira getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Homero Neto hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudemiro Lobato in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Cerqueira saved SC Macieira from getting behind. SC Macieira's David Cerqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Lobato in the 56th minute of play. When Claudemiro Lobato got free in front of the goal in the 60th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. David Cerqueira was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, AmarSul Futebol Clube's Claudemiro Lobato nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Cerqueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 75 minutes into the game, Claudemiro Lobato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. David Cerqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudemiro Lobato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. David Cerqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
