Seating: 1858, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Augusto Portugal got the match started through his kick off. Vile FC's Jens Lehmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Portugal in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Portugal in the 4th minute of play forced Vile FC's goalkeeper Jens Lehmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Portugal in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens Lehmann saved Vile FC from getting behind. But to his dismay, Augusto Portugal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marco Bülow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Barroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vile FC's Jens Lehmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Moutinho in the 15th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Augusto Portugal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens Lehmann was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the game, Vile FC's Elias Barroso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Bülow made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Avelino Aires was the one to do the kick off. Vile FC's Jens Lehmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Vile FC from getting a goal against them. Augusto Portugal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jens Lehmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens Lehmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Portugal, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Augusto Portugal came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Lusos Crew fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Portugal couldn't finish the play. Jens Lehmann was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Augusto Portugal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augusto Portugal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 62nd minute, Reginaldo Moutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reginaldo Moutinho got free with Jens Lehmann in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jens Lehmann made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Reginaldo Moutinho sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Reginaldo Moutinho made a precise shot to the right of Jens Lehmann. Vile FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. Adriano Fagundes charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Fagundes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute Reginaldo Fiúza ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Jens Lehmann. 1-8. Jens Lehmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Estevão Padilha in the 92nd minute. Zacarias Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lusos Crew eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
