When Namık Kemal Gültekin fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galaxy Union FC's protests and gave Namık Kemal Gültekin a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atanasije Martać having to interfere. When Ivan Grivekov fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored os solitarios's protests and gave Ivan Grivekov a yellow card for diving instead. Ivan Grivekov kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albérico Fiúza in the 25th minute of play forced os solitarios's goalkeeper Olívio Vidigal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Azeredo had several of the os solitarios's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 27 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Olívio Vidigal as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 32ndth minute of the game Paulino Azeredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but os solitarios's Olívio Vidigal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Luís Gomes put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Atanasije Martać. os solitarios's Olívio Vidigal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save os solitarios from getting a goal against them. Paulino Azeredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olívio Vidigal having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Witold Bondel made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Paulino Azeredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio Vidigal was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Olívio Vidigal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute of the match Teófilo Valadares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olívio Vidigal skillfully saved the ball. If Amado Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olívio Vidigal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Azeredo in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Galaxy Union FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Namık Kemal Gültekin hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Paulino Azeredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olívio Vidigal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Azeredo's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Galaxy Union FC's Atanasije Martać played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witold Bondel in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Witold Bondel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galaxy Union FC made a substitution. Enzo Ribas replaced Amado Teles. After 77 played minutes os solitarios got a freekick which was hit by Witold Bondel. Olívio Vidigal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Azeredo's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in os solitarios's zone, Paulino Azeredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olívio Vidigal came out of the goal and Paulino Azeredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Galaxy Union FC made a substitution. Lisandro Portugal replaced Jarūnas Lavickas. The supporters of os solitarios booed when Galaxy Union FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Ribas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olívio Vidigal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Azeredo in the 87th minute of play. Olívio Vidigal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olívio Vidigal came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Galaxy Union FC's Salvador Pimenta. But to his dismay, Salvador Pimenta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Azeredo in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olívio Vidigal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 96 minutes into the match, Galaxy Union FC's goalkeeper Atanasije Martać had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Gomes. Witold Bondel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Atanasije Martać when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the Galaxy Union FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
