Vargens FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zacarias Santiago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 46 minutes of play, Vile FC's Zacarias Santiago made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torgny Mellin was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandro Caires made a kick off. Vargens FC's Torgny Mellin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Vargens FC from getting a goal against them. If Avelino Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens Lehmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Sabrosa in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Vargens FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Sabrosa to maneuver through the defense. Torgny Mellin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Santiago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jens Lehmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Caires, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Avelino Aires's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Torgny Mellin firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Vile FC's Adelino Aires got a free kick in the 75th minute. Torgny Mellin came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vile FC's Avelino Aires. But to his dismay, Avelino Aires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 86th minute, Zacarias Santiago made a precise shot to the right of Torgny Mellin. Vargens FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After 89 minutes, Norberto Sabrosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vargens FC and the Vile FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Norberto Sabrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match, Zacarias Santiago tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Torgny Mellin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Torgny Mellin made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Avelino Aires sent off a good shot on target. Vile FC's Jens Lehmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Caires in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Plácido Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vargens FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Plácido Borba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens Lehmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens Lehmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Caires, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
