Marco Bülow stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Câmara's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Aloísio Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Portugal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Baião FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reginaldo Moutinho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Portugal got free with Aloísio Coelho in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto Portugal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aloísio Coelho came out and tried to block the shot, but Augusto Portugal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Lusos Crew booed when Baião FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Maziarz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aloísio Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Portugal in the 41st minute of play. Baião FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Augusto Portugal scored to the left of an out of position Aloísio Coelho, making the score, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Aloísio Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Portugal in the 51st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Baião FC defense, Augusto Portugal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aloísio Coelho.
