The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of SC Agucadeira booed when Folgosinho Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Menezes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Freitas during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Folgosinho Lions's Fernando Freitas got a free kick in the 40th minute. Tarcísio Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. António Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Tarcísio Santarém had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of António Coutinho. Folgosinho Lions's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tarcísio Santarém was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tarcísio Santarém stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Folgosinho Lions's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Tarcísio Santarém scored to the left of an out of position António Coutinho, making the score, 0-7. In the 58th minute Tarcísio Santarém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tarcísio Santarém blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Coutinho having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcísio Santarém in the 60th minute of play forced Folgosinho Lions's goalkeeper António Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Folgosinho Lions's António Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Folgosinho Lions from getting a goal against them. Tarcísio Santarém struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. António Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Agucadeira. After 68 played minutes Tarcísio Santarém rounded Folgosinho Lions's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. When Rui Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Agucadeira's protests and gave Rui Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes SC Agucadeira got a freekick which was hit by Rui Travassos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tarcísio Santarém in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Coutinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tarcísio Santarém struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. António Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Agucadeira. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Dimas Taveira took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for António Coutinho to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Tarcísio Santarém's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Coutinho was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Daniel Lustosa was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 90 played minutes Folgosinho Lions got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Lustosa. António Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcísio Santarém in the 92nd minute of play. When the match was over SC Agucadeira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Folgosinho Lions throughout the match.
