After a defensive mix-up in Folgosinho Lions's zone, Manuel Caldeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Coutinho came out of the goal and Manuel Caldeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Freitas in the 47th minute of play forced Folga's goalkeeper Reinaldo Azeredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Higino Estrada made a kick off. If Porfírio Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. António Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Caldeira in the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Folgosinho Lions getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Sidónio Tristão hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Folga's Lourenço Gama slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of António Coutinho. That made the score 0-10 after 91 minutes of play. António Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Ionescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folga's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
