After taking down the ball on Coxos FC's corner Paulo Sousa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eurico lago quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Coxos FC's Juliano Tomé got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Pepe Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Beatriz 08 getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rodrigo Fonseca hit a great ball. Coxos FC's Pedro Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Cordeiro in the 18th minute of play. Eurico lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Lustosa in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Coxos FC were awarded a corner. Paulo Sousa went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Teodoro Lustosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coxos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Lustosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurico lago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When FC Beatriz 08's Márcio Cordeiro in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Flavio Graziani managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Beatriz 08's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Graziani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Maltez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute Pepe Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Maltez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Coxos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Coxos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
