In the 19th minute, Manuel Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Borba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seleção de Aleijados's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mariadeira Boavista FC the free kick. A collision led to Seleção de Aleijados getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rodolfo Borba hit a great ball. Tomás Aragones struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Flávio Regueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariadeira Boavista FC. Oliver Laferla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Flávio Regueira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Seleção de Aleijados's zone, Oliver Laferla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Regueira came out of the goal and Oliver Laferla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keylor Navas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lionel-Andrés Lapadula's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Lionel-Andrés Lapadula might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keylor Navas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lionel-Andrés Lapadula ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Lapadula in the 38th minute of play forced Mariadeira Boavista FC's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Oliver Laferla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariadeira Boavista FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Laferla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 minutes of play, Seleção de Aleijados's Delfim Matias made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keylor Navas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Seleção de Aleijados were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oliver Laferla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Mariadeira Boavista FC's goalkeeper Keylor Navas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lionel-Andrés Lapadula. The supporters of Mariadeira Boavista FC booed when Seleção de Aleijados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermano Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Afonso Granja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Regueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seleção de Aleijados's Flávio Regueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Aragones in the 63rd minute of play. Flávio Regueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Aragones went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Flávio Regueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Laferla, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Oliver Laferla took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Regueira. Flávio Regueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Keylor Navas. Flávio Regueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Aragones's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Teixeira in the 85th minute of the match. Delfim Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Flávio Regueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Aragones in the 92nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Teixeira in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keylor Navas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Seleção de Aleijados played a much better game than Mariadeira Boavista FC and deserved their victory. The Mariadeira Boavista FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
