Șerban Iovanovici made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a little luck, Alcateia FC's Șerban Iovanovici got control of the ball when Marco Reus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute Marco Reus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Șerban Iovanovici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Șerban Iovanovici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Reus in the 21st minute. Șerban Iovanovici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Lencastre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Lencastre in the 32nd minute of play forced Alcateia FC's goalkeeper Șerban Iovanovici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Alcateia FC defense, Domingos Lencastre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Șerban Iovanovici. The Alcateia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Șerban Iovanovici should have stopped the shot. After 34 minutes of play, Pedreiras SC's Marco Reus made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Șerban Iovanovici was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alcateia FC's Șerban Iovanovici proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Alcateia FC from getting a goal against them. After 37th play minutes Domingos Lencastre shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Șerban Iovanovici and just under the crossbar into goal. Șerban Iovanovici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Peralta in the 41st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 10-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gervásio Pedroso to strike the kick off in the second half. Șerban Iovanovici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Reus in the 51st minute of the match. Rodrigo Peralta took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Șerban Iovanovici. Șerban Iovanovici dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Șerban Iovanovici was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 66 played minutes Alcateia FC got a freekick which was hit by Gervásio Raposo. If Rodrigo Peralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. Șerban Iovanovici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Reus, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Domingos Lencastre scored 17-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Șerban Iovanovici, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evandro Quental's late challenge caught a Alcateia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Quental helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Reus in the 90th minute of play forced Alcateia FC's goalkeeper Șerban Iovanovici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Pedreiras SC's Rodrigo Peralta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Șerban Iovanovici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pedreiras SC fully deserved thier win.
