Cotinguiba Futebol Manage's Rui Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Soveral in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Sandro Soveral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rui Lisboa, 2-0. Afonso Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Ruas in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Dragon Blue's zone, Zeferino Durães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Quadros came out of the goal and Zeferino Durães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Humberto Fiúza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragon Blue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Fiúza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Angelo Curado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonso Quadros was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Angelo Curado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Afonso Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cotinguiba Futebol Manage's Manuel Sacadura got a free kick in the 74th minute. Angelo Curado's late challenge caught a Dragon Blue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Dragon Blue fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Dragon Blue had won after a very even match.
