Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ursus Erler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Manuel Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélder Moreira was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When Raimundo Ramires fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Creative GalactixFC's protests and gave Raimundo Ramires a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Creative GalactixFC got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Ramires. If Manuel Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Carneiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Miguel Poças made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Creative GalactixFC's Hélder Moreira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. João Abreu's late challenge caught a Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 69 minutes, Jacinto Carreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Creative GalactixFC and the Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hélder Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-2. The supporters of Creative GalactixFC booed when Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Rebocho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Dias hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 9-2 became the score in the 95th minute when Manuel Carneiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's Manuel Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos were the better team. Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
