Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Santiago Guimarães took the kick off in the first half of the match. Palmiro Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Pinheiro in the 4th minute of play. If Santiago Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Leonel Tomé got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luís Sacramento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Guimarães in the 18th minute of the match. Lourenço Fagundes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Sacramento. Penedo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Guimarães in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Sacramento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonel Tomé hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Valentim Branco struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Palmiro Bezerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penedo. After a rather tough play, Penedo's Afonso Portugal got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Santiago Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Purgacal's Leonel Tomé sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Sacramento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulino Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Palmiro Bezerra having to interfere. Caio Oliveira hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Palmiro Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentim Branco in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentim Branco made a kick off. Paulo Ferro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Sacramento. Penedo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Penedo's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Guimarães came free, but Luís Sacramento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Portugal hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisandro Lages during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Palmiro Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentim Branco in the 65th minute of play. Paulino Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Purgacal's Palmiro Bezerra got control of the ball when Paulino Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Sacramento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Guimarães's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Purgacal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paulino Pinheiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Santiago Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Sacramento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Purgacal's Palmiro Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentim Branco in the 82nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Penedo's Afonso Portugal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Palmiro Bezerra. That made the score 0-2 after 87 minutes of play. In the 91st minute Santiago Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Sacramento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leonel Tomé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Purgacal's Lisandro Lages got a free kick in the 96th minute. Penedo's Valentim Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
