Isac Baião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Moutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The supporters of Acrescenta booed when Redundo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Moutinho to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Moura got free with Isac Baião in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, Acrescenta's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Junqueira came free, but Valério Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Acrescenta's Alcides Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulo Futre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isac Baião. That made the score 0-6 in the 84 minute of play. Henrik Leikanger kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, Redundo's Isac Baião got control of the ball when Alcides Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Acrescenta getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Cristóvão Cunha hit a great ball. Acrescenta played a much better game than Redundo and deserved their victory. The Redundo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
