Olavo Eanes was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Genizio's zone, Mário Caneira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Eanes came out of the goal and Mário Caneira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Fridun Schwemer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olavo Eanes was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. After 87 minutes, Fridun Schwemer made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Genizio's Olavo Eanes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
