After 16 played minutes Purgacal got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Álvares. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentim Silveira in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Palmiro Bezerra saved Purgacal from getting behind. In the 20th minute, Valentim Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Palmiro Bezerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Elias Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Álvaro Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Palmiro Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valentim Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentim Silveira made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Leonel Tomé managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purgacal's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Tomé was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 played minutes Purgacal got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Ferro. Dimas Fernandes's late challenge caught a AL-Bombarralense B's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dimas Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised.
