Peter Stuyvesant FC's Adérito Lustosa got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Viegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Stuyvesant FC's Josué Taveira got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Ricardo Valério left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lobatos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Francisco Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Valério, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th match minute, Peter Stuyvesant FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilário Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Resende in the 36th minute of play. Ivan Garcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adérito Lustosa's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Francisco Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Valério, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josué Taveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adérito Lustosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Peter Stuyvesant FC's Adérito Lustosa got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Lobatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Taveira came free, but Ivan Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Stuyvesant FC's Francisco Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gastão Monteiro in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Peter Stuyvesant FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Duarte Toscano hit a great ball. Francisco Quirino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Valério in the 57th minute. Ivan Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adérito Lustosa in the 59th minute of play. Ivan Garcia came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Peter Stuyvesant FC's Adérito Lustosa. But to his dismay, Adérito Lustosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Adérito Lustosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes Lobatos FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Resende. If Josué Taveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lobatos FC's goalkeeper Ivan Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Francisco Branco fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peter Stuyvesant FC's protests and gave Francisco Branco a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peter Stuyvesant FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Francisco Branco hit a great ball. Lobatos FC's Yuri Veloso shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 75th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Francisco Quirino but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gastão Monteiro in the 81st minute of play forced Peter Stuyvesant FC's goalkeeper Francisco Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd play minute Ricardo Valério came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Francisco Quirino. 2-2. If Josué Taveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Josué Taveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peter Stuyvesant FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué Taveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Peter Stuyvesant FC had played much better football throughout.
