If Alex França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes of play, C A Casével's Paulo Cruz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frederico Sales was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulo Cruz hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Frederico Sales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Silva in the 25th minute of the match. Frederico Sales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Jusepe, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute, Sport Maia's Nuno Teves seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nuno Teves the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sport Maia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nuno Teves had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Sport Maia's Nuno Teves got a free kick in the 31st minute. Frederico Sales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Freire in the 32nd minute of the match. Frederico Sales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37thth minute of the game Isaac Jusepe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Maia's Frederico Sales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sport Maia's Frederico Sales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex França in the 44th minute of play. Frederico Sales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half C A Casével were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Frederico Sales made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Isaac Jusepe sent off a good shot on target. If Paulo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Isaac Jusepe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C A Casével fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Frederico Sales was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Isaac Jusepe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Armando Brites was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C A Casével's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Maia the free kick. Sport Maia made a substitution. Rodrigo Leite replaced Alexandrino Lage. The supporters of C A Casével booed when Sport Maia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Moita didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Sport Maia's Frederico Sales got control of the ball when Alex França tried to sneak it across the goal line.
