In the 4th minute Pedro Bandeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FCBlocos's Pedro Bandeira managed to work through Clube Atlético do Cadaval's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Pedro Bandeira dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When FCBlocos's Amadeu Castanheira in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clube Atlético do Cadaval's goalie prevented a goal. 9 minutes into the game, Amadeu Castanheira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Manuel Teles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amadeu Castanheira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Teles having to interfere. Manuel Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Nóbrega in the 15th minute of play. Humberto Camacho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Vilas Boas in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Pedro Bandeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Martinho Vargas notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Clube Atlético do Cadaval's Manuel Teles. Manuel Teles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gert Vulla hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Damiano Ciccarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atlético do Cadaval's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damiano Ciccarelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeu Castanheira scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Teles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute, Amadeu Castanheira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FCBlocos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After a rather tough play, FCBlocos's Amadeu Castanheira got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute, FCBlocos's Amadeu Castanheira fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal, but it hit the crossbar and went out into the crowd. After some careless play in the Clube Atlético do Cadaval defense, Amadeu Castanheira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Teles. The Clube Atlético do Cadaval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Teles should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético do Cadaval's goal looked a bit too open when Martinho Vargas came free, but Manuel Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Camacho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leal Júdice in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeu Castanheira to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, FCBlocos's Amadeu Castanheira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manuel Teles. Manuel Teles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Manuel Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Bandeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético do Cadaval's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Bandeira came free, but Manuel Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Amadeu Castanheira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes Clube Atlético do Cadaval's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Bandeira who took care of the corner kick. In the 72nd minute, FCBlocos's Rui Almeida seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rui Almeida the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FCBlocos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rui Almeida had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 73rd minute, Rui Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes, Clube Atlético do Cadaval's Homero Cordeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Camacho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Atlético do Cadaval reached it. FCBlocos's Mariano Lima was substituted for Pedro Bandeira. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube Atlético do Cadaval's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Martinho Vargas was slow to take the kick. During this time FCBlocos's players had a chance to rest. In the 80th minute, Clube Atlético do Cadaval's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after João Ribas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as FCBlocos's Xavier Nóbrega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Teles. That made the score 0-9 after 82 minutes of play. If Xavier Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Ribas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Miguel Caetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, FCBlocos's Mariano Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Teles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FCBlocos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
