The CristeloCovoBoys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastião Moniz should have stopped the shot. The Acerca FC fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Acerca FC's Baltasar Magalhães looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Acerca FC's Octávio Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Martinho Miguéis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CristeloCovoBoys's Sebastião Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Moita in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Klemensas Guzas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acerca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klemensas Guzas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Klemensas Guzas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Baltasar Magalhães sped through CristeloCovoBoys's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastião Moniz. 31 minutes into the game, Martinho Miguéis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CristeloCovoBoys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acerca FC the free kick. In the 31st match minute, CristeloCovoBoys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martinho Miguéis to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind CristeloCovoBoys's goalkeeper Sebastião Moniz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Teodoro Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CristeloCovoBoys's zone, Szymon Scislowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Moniz came out of the goal and Szymon Scislowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the game, Germano Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CristeloCovoBoys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acerca FC the free kick. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CristeloCovoBoys! After the first half Acerca FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Fragoso to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Acerca FC's Szymon Scislowicz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastião Moniz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sebastião Moniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szymon Scislowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Szymon Scislowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aloísio Paião's late challenge caught a Acerca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aloísio Paião helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of CristeloCovoBoys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Acerca FC:s goal. After a rather tough play, CristeloCovoBoys's Aloísio Paião got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Baltasar Magalhães was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Klemensas Guzas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Sebastião Moniz made a huge save. Klemensas Guzas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Sebastião Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CristeloCovoBoys's Sebastião Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Magalhães in the 100th minute of play. Acerca FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
