The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yuri Marinho helped the player get up and apologised. Rubim Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Carrasqueira having to interfere. Nivaldo Graça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rubim Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Barreiro's Claudemiro Campos pulled a muscle in his leg after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. SC Barreiro made a substitution. Jordão Candal replaced Claudemiro Campos. One of PEROSINHO F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Barreiro:s goal. In the 26th minute of the game, SC Barreiro got a penalty. The audience was convinced that Mateus Jesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Moutinho was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Emílio Carrasqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordão Candal, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Jordão Candal came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the SC Barreiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordão Candal couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Mariano Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Jordão Candal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jordão Candal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Carrasqueira having to interfere. Jordão Candal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Carrasqueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateus Jesus was the one to do the kick off. PEROSINHO F.C.'s Emílio Carrasqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubim Teixeira in the 54th minute of play. Jordão Candal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th match minute, PEROSINHO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Vilela to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Vilaça kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Jordão Candal notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of PEROSINHO F.C.'s Emílio Carrasqueira. Emílio Carrasqueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jordão Candal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Rubim Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Barreiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubim Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Carrasqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the match, PEROSINHO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jordão Candal came free, but Emílio Carrasqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SC Barreiro getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Nivaldo Graça hit a great ball. Emílio Carrasqueira came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Barreiro's Rubim Teixeira. But to his dismay, Rubim Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Jordão Candal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PEROSINHO F.C.'s Emílio Carrasqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubim Teixeira in the 89th minute of play. SC Barreiro's Rubim Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind PEROSINHO F.C.'s goalkeeper Emílio Carrasqueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
