Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Norberto Barbosa came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Aveleda's Éder Quirino. But to his dismay, Éder Quirino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Picote FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Cunha came free, but Norberto Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josué Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Filipe Lobato ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Picote FC's zone, Nicolas Gama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Barbosa came out of the goal and Nicolas Gama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Filipe Lobato made a precise shot to the right of Norberto Barbosa. Picote FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The supporters of SC Aveleda booed when Picote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílcar Bandeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Éder Quirino struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Norberto Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Aveleda. SC Aveleda's Filipe Lobato got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josué Cunha scored 0-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norberto Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valério Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valério Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Picote FC got a freekick which was hit by Valério Monteiro. Filipe Lobato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Barbosa having to interfere. Filipe Lobato scored 0-6 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norberto Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Filipe Lobato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Norberto Barbosa made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Josué Cunha sent off a good shot on target. 53 minutes into the game, Josué Cunha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norberto Barbosa. Josué Cunha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. After having played for 57 minutes, Éder Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Aveleda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Éder Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Josué Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Norberto Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Aveleda's Filipe Lobato slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Norberto Barbosa. That made the score 0-8 after 69 minutes of play. Higino Castilho charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Lobato couldn't finish the play. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Éder Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. SC Aveleda played a much better game than Picote FC and deserved their victory. The Picote FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
