Spectators: 7700 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 150) 3 minutes into the match, SC Varzim's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Seabra came free, but Radowit Wielgopolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Varzim defense, Dimas Baião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radowit Wielgopolski. The SC Varzim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radowit Wielgopolski should have stopped the shot. Alexandre Seabra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Radowit Wielgopolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, SC Varzim's Patrício Sequeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 邓翔鹰 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Seabra during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, NEW OPORTO's Alexandre Seabra got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Patrício Sequeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a rather tough play, NEW OPORTO's António Coutinho got a free kick in the 18th minute. Patrício Sequeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Silvério Pedroso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Varzim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NEW OPORTO the free kick. A collision led to SC Varzim getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Silvério Pedroso hit a great ball. Paulino Miguéis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. 邓翔鹰 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Coutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. António Coutinho hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hélder Gaspar took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 邓翔鹰. 邓翔鹰 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 31st minute Dimas Baião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radowit Wielgopolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Alexandre Seabra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NEW OPORTO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Seabra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrício Sequeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 邓翔鹰 having to interfere. During the 35th minute of the match Silvério Pedroso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Silvério Pedroso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Alexandre Seabra struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Radowit Wielgopolski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NEW OPORTO. Dimas Baião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radowit Wielgopolski having to interfere. Radowit Wielgopolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Seabra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dimas Baião made a kick off. SC Varzim's Radowit Wielgopolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimas Baião in the 53rd minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when NEW OPORTO's Dimas Baião in the 55th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Radowit Wielgopolski was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Varzim through an amazing save. Alexandre Seabra had several of the SC Varzim's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Radowit Wielgopolski as he didn't even see the shot coming. Dimas Baião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Radowit Wielgopolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Alexandre Seabra made a precise shot to the right of Radowit Wielgopolski. SC Varzim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Radowit Wielgopolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimas Baião in the 68th minute of play. When António Coutinho was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. In the 71st minute, António Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Seabra got free with Radowit Wielgopolski in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
