An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordão Valadares in the 21st minute of play forced Esquadrão Lusitano's goalkeeper Vítor Damas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cristiano Cigaran hit a great ball. Cristiano Cigaran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Álvaro Baía made a huge save. Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nélson Nunes in the 30th minute of play. Álvaro Baía made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cristiano Cigaran sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caxias F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tạ Bom was slow to take the kick. During this time Esquadrão Lusitano's players had a chance to rest. Tạ Bom made a great header on Esquadrão Lusitano's corner, it was just that Caxias F.C.'s Álvaro Baía managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Caxias F.C.'s Álvaro Baía got control of the ball when Cristiano Cigaran tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cristiano Cigaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

But to his dismay, Jordão Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nélson Nunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Vítor Damas made a huge save. In the 76th minute of the match, Moisés Caiado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vítor Damas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Esquadrão Lusitano's Sidónio Pereira was substituted for Brett Fazey. Esquadrão Lusitano's Rui Sá was substituted for Cândido Machado. Caxias F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nazım Gümüş in the 79th minute. After taking down the ball on Caxias F.C.'s corner Nazım Gümüş fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vítor Damas quite easily take care of the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Artun Aydın recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vítor Damas. Artun Aydın showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Kip Kerri hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Esquadrão Lusitano's goalkeeper Vítor Damas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nélson Nunes. After 88th play minutes Artun Aydın shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Vítor Damas and just under the crossbar into goal. If Rui Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordão Valadares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Vítor Damas made a huge save. Caxias F.C. played a much better game than Esquadrão Lusitano and deserved their victory. The Esquadrão Lusitano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
