The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The SC Hooligans fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when SC Hooligans's Éder Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Álvaro Baía didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Éder Castro went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Caxias F.C.'s zone, Martinho Sobral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Baía came out of the goal and Martinho Sobral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Monroe Duvall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Éder Castro struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Álvaro Baía didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Hooligans. Álvaro Baía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martinho Sobral in the 18th minute of play. Álvaro Baía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éder Castro in the 25th minute of the match. Nélson Nunes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When SC Hooligans's Martinho Sobral in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 38th minute, Martinho Sobral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Hooligans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Álvaro Baía showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Éder Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Kip Kerri kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Éder Castro succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caxias F.C.'s goalkeeper Álvaro Baía, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Martinho Sobral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Baía was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Éder Castro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Éder Castro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. A collision led to SC Hooligans getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Enzo Vilas Boas hit a great ball. 俞晨骏 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Caiado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Éder Castro in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Álvaro Baía, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Álvaro Baía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martinho Sobral in the 62nd minute of the match. Martinho Sobral's late challenge caught a Caxias F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martinho Sobral helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Martinho Sobral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martinho Sobral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Baía having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Caxias F.C.'s Jordão Valadares got a free kick in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Éder Castro got free with Álvaro Baía in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Éder Castro took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Álvaro Baía to make any attempt to save it. Éder Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Hooligans's Hermano Veríssimo was substituted for Vicente Vigário. SC Hooligans played a much better game than Caxias F.C. and deserved their victory. The Caxias F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
