The supporters of SC Serrinho booed when Vareiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Rebelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liviu Bădiță having to make a save. A nice corner shot did that 魏凡轩 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Liviu Bădiță quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Liviu Bădiță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 魏凡轩 in the 16th minute of play. Vareiros FC's Liviu Bădiță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 魏凡轩 in the 18th minute of play. SC Serrinho were furious when Timóteo Amaral was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Serrinho! Craig Crowley shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Barbosa in the 25th minute of play forced Vareiros FC's goalkeeper Liviu Bădiță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cameron Diaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Assunção in the 26th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Siro Oro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cameron Diaz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Hermínio Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liviu Bădiță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Barbosa in the 35th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Vareiros FC defense, Hermínio Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Liviu Bădiță. The Vareiros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Liviu Bădiță should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Gentil Castanheira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liviu Bădiță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Vareiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Radislav Štochl. Cristóvão Rebelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liviu Bădiță having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Hermínio Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liviu Bădiță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Salgado struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Cameron Diaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vareiros FC. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vareiros FC's goalkeeper Liviu Bădiță, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Hermínio Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Liviu Bădiță was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. During this time SC Serrinho's players had a chance to rest. 73 minutes into the match, Hermínio Barbosa notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Vareiros FC's Liviu Bădiță. Liviu Bădiță was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zeferino Neves hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vareiros FC's zone, Hermínio Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Bădiță came out of the goal and Hermínio Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
