Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Augusto Hoffmann in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Prada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The BENFICA UNITED fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when BENFICA UNITED's José Augusto Hoffmann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Caniggia got free with Tomé Soveral in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudio Caniggia came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tomé Soveral could save by the left post. Tomé Soveral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Viana got free with Tomé Soveral in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that José Augusto Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Prada was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Augusto Hoffmann in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Prada saved SANFINS VLP from getting behind. José Augusto Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Prada having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Eduardo Viana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tomé Soveral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhuang Fan Zhen in the 43rd minute of play forced BENFICA UNITED's goalkeeper Tomé Soveral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Fiúza's late challenge caught a BENFICA UNITED's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inocencio Salbatore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomé Soveral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Tomé Soveral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Viana in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Zhuang Fan Zhen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomé Soveral was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SANFINS VLP fans cheered their team off the field, for while BENFICA UNITED had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
