In the 36th minute Danilo Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Póvoas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute Arrifana FC were awarded a corner. Frederico Sales went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Frederico Sales got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tamás Albert quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Pinho in the 42nd minute of play forced Arrifana FC's goalkeeper Hélio Póvoas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arrifana FC's Hélio Póvoas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Pinho in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

A collision led to Arrifana FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Plácido Saraiva hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Arrifana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Oliveira came free, but Hélio Póvoas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélio Póvoas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Oliveira in the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of Lidador F.C. booed when Arrifana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Wojton didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Hélio Póvoas managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Lidador F.C.'s Danilo Pinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After taking down the ball on Lidador F.C.'s corner Alcino Malafaia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hélio Póvoas quite easily take care of the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Arrifana FC's goalie and right to Amadeu Moura. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Arrifana FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Delfim Oliveira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
