Stefan Kapera hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dumitru Bodiu got free with Peter Sparks in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nuno Caldas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Morris Zemp's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The Miradeses FC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Miradeses FC's Morris Zemp looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nuno Caldas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morris Zemp in the 23rd minute of play. Peter Sparks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddie Mercury, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes Academia EFC got a freekick which was hit by Trenton Alexander-Arnold. Miradeses FC's Teo De Jong got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Teo De Jong made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Academia EFC's Silvestre Velasques got a free kick in the 56th minute. Academia EFC's Percival Pombal was substituted for Freddie Mercury. Silvestre Velasques kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Teo De Jong who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Nuno Caldas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 60th minute, Zbigniew Traczewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Morris Zemp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Caldas. Academia EFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Morris Zemp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dumitru Bodiu in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Sparks saved Miradeses FC from getting behind. The Academia EFC fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Academia EFC's Dumitru Bodiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Dumitru Bodiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 75 in the game by Hilário Meira from a close distance when the talented Nuno Caldas managed to make a qualified save. Academia EFC's players were relieved. Peter Sparks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Bodiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Teo De Jong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miradeses FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia EFC the free kick. After 90 played minutes, Miradeses FC's Jerónimo Pais shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nuno Caldas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Miradeses FC reached it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Academia EFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Miradeses FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
