The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vedat Burçhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, PLURAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Zonta to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Campus Douro Academy's Pankracy Gozdowski got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Rodolfo Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campus Douro Academy's protests and gave Rodolfo Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Zonta in the 82nd minute of play forced Campus Douro Academy's goalkeeper Eliseu Bragança to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Antônio Zonta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Campus Douro Academy made a substitution. Alfredo Lemos replaced Pankracy Gozdowski. Rodolfo Montay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabrice Dewitte's late challenge caught a PLURAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrice Dewitte helped the player get up and apologised. Eliseu Bragança took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Figueiras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PLURAL's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
