La Cosa Nostra's Sonny Alén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilário Meira in the 12th minute of play. La Cosa Nostra's Hans Bergfelt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Almiro Amaro in the 13 minute of the game. Peter Sparks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Šuker's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Miradeses FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hans Bergfelt was slow to take the kick. During this time La Cosa Nostra's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on La Cosa Nostra's corner Hans Bergfelt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Peter Sparks quite easily take care of the ball. La Cosa Nostra's Ricardo Araújo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Almiro Amaro in the 23 minute of the game. Peter Sparks was a little too slow when Håkan Šuker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noel Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Peter Sparks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. La Cosa Nostra's Sonny Alén proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save La Cosa Nostra from getting a goal against them. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilário Meira in the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Šuker in the 73rd minute of play forced Miradeses FC's goalkeeper Peter Sparks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match La Cosa Nostra got a corner. Miradeses FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hans Bergfelt ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Elias Millrick got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 4-0. 74 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Miradeses FC's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Šuker came free, but Peter Sparks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Sparks came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by La Cosa Nostra's Håkan Šuker. But to his dismay, Håkan Šuker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 84th minute, Sebastián Coates hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Håkan Šuker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Sparks read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Sonny Alén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilário Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. La Cosa Nostra's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
