Ricardo Zamora stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abílio Passos's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Ricardo Zamora came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 09's Leal Borges. But to his dismay, Leal Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Teachers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leal Borges came free, but Ricardo Zamora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Leal in the 12th minute of play forced Teachers FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Baião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Ivo Guterres made a huge save. 17 minutes into the game, SC Freiburg 09's Raul Leal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zamora made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 25th minute Raul Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teachers FC's Ricardo Zamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Leal in the 27th minute of play. Ricardo Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abílio Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leal Borges in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zamora prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leal Borges hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Teachers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abílio Passos came free, but Ricardo Zamora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Raul Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Teachers FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Raul Leal 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. In the 55th minute, Fabiano Carrasqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leal Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Zamora came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 09's Leal Borges. But to his dismay, Leal Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Ricardo Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abílio Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Leal Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zamora having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Fan Wen Quan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teachers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fan Wen Quan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 minutes, Mehmet Ferit İsmet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Freiburg 09 and the Teachers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes SC Freiburg 09 got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Ferit İsmet. Teachers FC's Sílvio Vilhena was substituted for Adalberto Barreto. Teachers FC's Algot Johnsson was substituted for Ilie Păsărin. Teachers FC's Fan Wen Quan suffered a sore thigh after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Mehmet Ferit İsmet got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Teachers FC's Hüsnü Taş was substituted for Fan Wen Quan. Mehmet Ferit İsmet hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Freiburg 09's goalkeeper Ivo Guterres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Teachers FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vasco Brás fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Máximo Lameiras made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Caio Sampaio however managed to control. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Leal Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Freiburg 09's supporters rose to their feet, but Leal Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zamora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 minutes, Enzo Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teachers FC and the SC Freiburg 09 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Enzo Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Teachers FC defense, Abílio Passos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zamora. The Teachers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zamora should have stopped the shot. Manuel Baião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Freiburg 09 played a much better game than Teachers FC and deserved their victory. The Teachers FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
