Spectators: 8456 (Terracing: 6343, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Murilo Fernandes started the match with the kick off. Celso Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saúl Lage in the 3rd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Futebol Espinhel's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Fernandes came free, but Celso Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Murilo Fernandes could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Celso Vasconcelos however easily saved by the left post. A hard shot 11 in the game by Murilo Fernandes from a close distance when the talented Celso Vasconcelos managed to make a qualified save. Futebol Espinhel's players were relieved. Celso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Pacheco in the 14th minute of play. Futebol Espinhel's Celso Vasconcelos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Futebol Espinhel from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Murilo Fernandes sped through Futebol Espinhel's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Celso Vasconcelos. Celso Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. mar-azul were furious when Genaro Gaitano was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in mar-azul fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! mar-azul:s Estevão Lemos showed great skill when he stopped Radoslaw Zukowski:s penalty. 29 minutes into the match, Radoslaw Zukowski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of mar-azul's Estevão Lemos. Estevão Lemos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Saúl Lage could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Celso Vasconcelos made a huge save. If David Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by mar-azul's Roberto Pacheco. But to his dismay, Roberto Pacheco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 43rd minute, Roberto Pacheco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The mar-azul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humberto Velasques to make the kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Futebol Espinhel's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adelino Palmeira was slow to take the kick. During this time mar-azul's players had a chance to rest. In the 55th minute Roberto Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by mar-azul's Saúl Lage. But to his dismay, Saúl Lage quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 63 minutes, Máximo Viegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the mar-azul and the Futebol Espinhel players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, mar-azul's Estevão Lemos got control of the ball when Humberto Velasques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Pacheco in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute Roberto Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Pacheco in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rocha in the 73rd minute of play forced mar-azul's goalkeeper Estevão Lemos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Futebol Espinhel getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. David Rocha hit a great ball. Celso Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by mar-azul's Saúl Lage. But to his dismay, Saúl Lage quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 88th minute Saúl Lage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseu Tavares's late challenge caught a mar-azul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu Tavares helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of mar-azul booed when Futebol Espinhel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute, one of Futebol Espinhel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Futebol Espinhel. Futebol Espinhel:s Celso Vasconcelos showed great skill when he stopped Adelino Palmeira:s penalty. After having played for 98 minutes, Saúl Lage managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. mar-azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saúl Lage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The mar-azul fans cheered their team off the field, for while Futebol Espinhel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
