In the 3rdth minute of the game Celso Eiró who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but São Brás FC's Cecilio Polo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save GD Almargense from getting a goal against them. Cecilio Polo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adérito Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Celso Eiró put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cecilio Polo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Eiró in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cecilio Polo saved São Brás FC from getting behind. Cecilio Polo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adérito Pinheiro in the 14th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Adérito Pinheiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cecilio Polo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cecilio Polo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Rebelo in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Eiró in the 24th minute of play forced São Brás FC's goalkeeper Cecilio Polo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Eiró in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cecilio Polo saved São Brás FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the São Brás FC defense, Adérito Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cecilio Polo. The São Brás FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cecilio Polo should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, São Brás FC's Silviu Buciuman got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Alexandre Eanes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cecilio Polo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cecilio Polo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Eiró in the 35th minute of play. Gervásio Palhares hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedito Rebelo in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cecilio Polo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cecilio Polo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Eiró in the 41st minute of play. Eulalio Puskás's late challenge caught a GD Almargense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eulalio Puskás helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to São Brás FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Eulalio Puskás hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Eiró to make the kick off. With a little luck, São Brás FC's Cecilio Polo got control of the ball when Adérito Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silviu Buciuman kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. GD Almargense made a substitution. Alexandre Valadares replaced Benedito Rebelo. GD Almargense's Zarco Patrício was substituted for Adérito Pinheiro. GD Almargense made a substitution. Carlos Vides replaced Rui Ramires. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zarco Patrício got free with Cecilio Polo in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the game, GD Almargense's Alexandre Valadares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cecilio Polo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Zarco Patrício came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cecilio Polo could save by the left post. After 87 played minutes GD Almargense got a freekick which was hit by António Sousa. Cecilio Polo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Zarco Patrício sent off a good shot on target. After 91 played minutes Carlos Vides could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-8 into the left cross. Alexandre Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cecilio Polo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zarco Patrício went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded GD Almargense left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than São Brás FC.
