The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubim Jordão during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. SITIO CITY's Cristiano Lage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zoltán Tálas in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jānis Blūms got free with Cristiano Lage in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jānis Blūms's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Cristiano Lage skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind KINGS FC's goalkeeper Leal Simões, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo Valadão took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristiano Lage. Cristiano Lage dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to SITIO CITY getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fabio Onbera hit a great ball. Leal Simões came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by SITIO CITY's Pál Polyák. But to his dismay, Pál Polyák quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Zoltán Tálas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Cristiano Lage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leal Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pál Polyák in the 42nd minute of play. Otto Sosa made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jānis Blūms however managed to control. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pál Polyák to strike the kick off in the second half. Leal Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pál Polyák in the 52nd minute of the match. If Zoltán Tálas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute.
