Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zinachidi Bemekun started the match with the kick off. In the 9th minute Edorisi Aga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kambina Aborisade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Bartholomew Ike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Udo Anyanwu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Osemene Owuehor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bartholomew Ike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edorisi Aga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kambina Aborisade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Keighley FC's Rapuluchukwu Emecheta made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kambina Aborisade was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kambina Aborisade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edorisi Aga in the 34th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Keighley FC defense, Bartholomew Ike kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Udo Anyanwu. The Keighley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Udo Anyanwu should have stopped the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Edorisi Aga made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Tony Kuta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Keighley FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knaresborough City the free kick. In the 56th match minute, Keighley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Kuta to maneuver through the defense. Jolaoya Iweta didn't quite understand what happened when in the 58 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Ojore Onigbinde kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Zinachidi Bemekun came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Knaresborough City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zinachidi Bemekun couldn't finish the play. Udo Anyanwu made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Bartholomew Ike sent off a good shot on target. Kambina Aborisade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ojore Onigbinde in the 69th minute of the match. Kambina Aborisade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edorisi Aga, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 71 minutes, Gordon Eguavoen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knaresborough City and the Keighley FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gordon Eguavoen kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Edorisi Aga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zinachidi Bemekun in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Udo Anyanwu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bartholomew Ike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Udo Anyanwu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Keighley FC's goalkeeper Udo Anyanwu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jolaoya Iweta. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Bartholomew Ike got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Knaresborough City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
