In the 12th match minute, Bow United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Idowu to maneuver through the defense. Joel Elumelu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartholomew Ike's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Gordon Eguavoen kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Bow United defense, Bartholomew Ike kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Elumelu. The Bow United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Elumelu should have stopped the shot. Zinachidi Bemekun took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Elumelu. Joel Elumelu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Bartholomew Ike came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Knaresborough City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartholomew Ike couldn't finish the play. Zinachidi Bemekun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Philip Idowu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kambina Aborisade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Idowu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zinachidi Bemekun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Elumelu having to make a save. After the first half Knaresborough City were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Philip Idowu to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ita Mbadiwe in the 53rd minute of play forced Knaresborough City's goalkeeper Kambina Aborisade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordon Eguavoen hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes of play, Bow United's Ita Mbadiwe made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kambina Aborisade was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bartholomew Ike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Joel Elumelu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Ita Mbadiwe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Zinachidi Bemekun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Elumelu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 72 in the game by Bartholomew Ike from a close distance when the talented Joel Elumelu managed to make a qualified save. Bow United's players were relieved. If Zinachidi Bemekun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Knaresborough City's Ajuluchukwu Bello got a free kick in the 80th minute. When Bow United's Philip Idowu in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Knaresborough City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91st minute of the match Makanjuola Adabale sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kambina Aborisade skillfully saved the ball. The Knaresborough City players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bow United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
