Nyongun Ashikodi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nkemakolam Adejuyigbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nkemakolam Adejuyigbe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nyongun Ashikodi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Nkemakolam Adejuyigbe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mitcham FC's zone, Omeokachie Onigbinde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Badamasi Akpuluma came out of the goal and Omeokachie Onigbinde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After recieving a nice pass, Mitcham FC's Amauche Ekoku tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 45 played minutes Helston AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aribisala Abioye.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nyongun Ashikodi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Helston AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Bimbo Iroha hit a great ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Helston AFC's goalkeeper Rafael Aikhomu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Omeokachie Onigbinde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nkemakolam Adejuyigbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Rafael Aikhomu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nyongun Ashikodi came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Mitcham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nyongun Ashikodi couldn't finish the play. Nyongun Ashikodi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rafael Aikhomu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Helston AFC's goalkeeper Rafael Aikhomu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Nyongun Ashikodi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rafael Aikhomu, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedu Mochaa in the 85th minute of play forced Mitcham FC's goalkeeper Badamasi Akpuluma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nyongun Ashikodi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Helston AFC's Bimbo Iroha got a free kick in the 89th minute. Rafael Aikhomu made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Nkemakolam Adejuyigbe sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute Omeokachie Onigbinde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Badamasi Akpuluma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
