Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ishaku Afunugo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sochi Monguno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ini Achi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th match minute, Trowbridge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ini Achi to maneuver through the defense. Ekenedilichukwu Ifakachukwu struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Somadina Lawal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trowbridge United. After 44 played minutes New Orleans FC got a freekick which was hit by Elewechi Afolabi. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ishaku Afunugo in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sochi Monguno saved Trowbridge United from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekenedilichukwu Ifakachukwu got free with Somadina Lawal in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to New Orleans FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Elewechi Afolabi hit a great ball. The supporters of Trowbridge United booed when New Orleans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ishaku Afunugo didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Trowbridge United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for New Orleans FC.
