Seating: 1853, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tosin Mbolu took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Muraina Ayorinde during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Muraina Ayorinde kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tosin Mbolu in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Onwuamaeze Omanukwue prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th match minute, Crown Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Lauli to maneuver through the defense. Scunthorpe's Stefano Enoch shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Onwuamaeze Omanukwue but with some difficulty. In the 15th minute Tosin Mbolu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onwuamaeze Omanukwue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jere Ugo Ezenwanne got free with Onwuamaeze Omanukwue in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Muraina Ayorinde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crown Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Muraina Ayorinde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moses Adeche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Crown Fc's Onwuamaeze Omanukwue proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Crown Fc from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tosin Mbolu in the 24th minute of play forced Crown Fc's goalkeeper Onwuamaeze Omanukwue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jere Ugo Ezenwanne got free with Onwuamaeze Omanukwue in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Christian Oyeoku made a precise shot to the right of Moses Adeche. Scunthorpe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Ifeajuna Okocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muraina Ayorinde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moses Adeche having to interfere. Stefano Enoch kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After the first half Crown Fc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Oyeoku was the one to do the kick off. Onwuamaeze Omanukwue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tosin Mbolu in the 57th minute of the match. Emenike Amagu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Moses Adeche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Crown Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Tosin Mbolu came free, but Onwuamaeze Omanukwue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Jere Ugo Ezenwanne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scunthorpe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jere Ugo Ezenwanne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Scunthorpe's Jere Ugo Ezenwanne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Onwuamaeze Omanukwue made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Muraina Ayorinde hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Onwuamaeze Omanukwue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jere Ugo Ezenwanne, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Scunthorpe booed when Crown Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muraina Ayorinde didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes, Scunthorpe's Stefano Enoch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Onwuamaeze Omanukwue came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Scunthorpe reached it. If Emenike Amagu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muraina Ayorinde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 84 minutes, Christian Oyeoku managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crown Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Oyeoku was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Christian Oyeoku got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Muraina Ayorinde came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Crown Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muraina Ayorinde couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute Tosin Mbolu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onwuamaeze Omanukwue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Crown Fc players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
