Nna Achima started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Chukwufumnanya Ogolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Scunthorpe's Tosin Mbolu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tosin Mbolu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Tobe Omokaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tosin Mbolu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobe Omokaro having to interfere. If Chukwufumnanya Ogolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nna Achima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moses Adeche having to interfere. Nimrod Samson kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Nna Achima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Moses Adeche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Scunthorpe's zone, Chukwufumnanya Ogolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moses Adeche came out of the goal and Chukwufumnanya Ogolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Scunthorpe getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Daniel Aneke hit a great ball. Chukwufumnanya Ogolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Moses Adeche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moses Adeche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nna Achima in the 33rd minute of play. Cletus Cletus Atere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Moses Adeche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moses Adeche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nna Achima , who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute Chukwufumnanya Ogolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moses Adeche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chukwufumnanya Ogolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moses Adeche having to interfere. Moses Adeche came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Flushing City's Chukwufumnanya Ogolo. But to his dismay, Chukwufumnanya Ogolo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Scunthorpe's Tosin Mbolu in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flushing City's goalie prevented a goal. If Tosin Mbolu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jere Ugo Ezenwanne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Izu Machinam kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Tosin Mbolu came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Scunthorpe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tosin Mbolu couldn't finish the play. Jere Ugo Ezenwanne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobe Omokaro having to interfere. Tobe Omokaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tosin Mbolu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobe Omokaro came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Scunthorpe's Tosin Mbolu. But to his dismay, Tosin Mbolu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Scunthorpe's Moses Adeche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nna Achima in the 83rd minute of play. Chukwufumnanya Ogolo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Moses Adeche made a huge save. When Tosin Mbolu came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Scunthorpe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tosin Mbolu couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
