Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 0) David Eyiboh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Leonard Onyekweli made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ikpe Okwuono in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nkemdilim Acholonu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute Steve Moneke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nkemdilim Acholonu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dumetochukwu Wasiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Nkemdilim Acholonu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Moneke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If David Eyiboh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eluemuno Gauyama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Onyekweli having to interfere. Ikpe Okwuono took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nkemdilim Acholonu. Nkemdilim Acholonu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Eluemuno Gauyama managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keyworth's supporters rose to their feet, but Eluemuno Gauyama was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Onyekweli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Eluemuno Gauyama kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonard Onyekweli. That made the score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. Leonard Onyekweli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eluemuno Gauyama, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Ikpe Okwuono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nkemdilim Acholonu having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eluemuno Gauyama made a kick off. Eluemuno Gauyama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. After 82 played minutes Keyworth got a freekick which was hit by Afolabi Ehikwe. Rashidi Akinyugha's late challenge caught a Keyworth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
