Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dumetochukwu Egonu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, one of Hendon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hendon. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Bayton City. Ndukaku Oyeyemi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bombai Shagaya. 0-1. Abayomi Ndudi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reuben Ndudi. Bayton City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Bayton City getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Paul Onyeomereneche hit a great ball. Bayton City's Reuben Ndudi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Bayton City from getting a goal against them. In the 27th match minute, Bayton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amogechukwu Onyeguocha to maneuver through the defense. Reuben Ndudi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumetochukwu Egonu in the 28th minute of play. Hendon's Bombai Shagaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onyii Aghahowa in the 31st minute of play. Onyii Aghahowa took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bombai Shagaya. Bombai Shagaya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Onwuamaegbu Aduku in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bombai Shagaya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dumetochukwu Egonu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hendon's Ganiyu Ladipo got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reuben Ndudi was a little too slow when Dumetochukwu Egonu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Onwuamaegbu Aduku was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Eyitayo Agoro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bayton City and the Hendon players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bayton City getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Eyitayo Agoro hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dumetochukwu Egonu in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reuben Ndudi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reuben Ndudi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumetochukwu Egonu in the 68th minute of play. With 74 minutes on the clock, Nsofor Chindo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hendon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Bayton City. Ndukaku Oyeyemi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bombai Shagaya. 1-3. After having played for 79 minutes, Ganiyu Ladipo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hendon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ganiyu Ladipo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nkemakolam Nwoke during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bayton City booed when Hendon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nkemakolam Nwoke didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bayton City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
