An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobe Salako in the 2nd minute of play forced Camberwell's goalkeeper Adegun Alausa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Onyeka Odionu's late challenge caught a Camberwell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Onyeka Odionu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Eccles FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Onyeka Odionu hit a great ball. Idris Eze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Finidi Ishola's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Finidi Ishola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camberwell's supporters rose to their feet, but Finidi Ishola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Idris Eze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 minutes, Langston Omoshona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camberwell and the Eccles FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Camberwell got a freekick which was hit by Langston Omoshona. Adegun Alausa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobe Salako, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Leonard Kalu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Idris Eze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Idris Eze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finidi Ishola, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Tobe Salako had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24thth minute of the game Tobe Salako who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Camberwell's Adegun Alausa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Tobe Salako came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Eccles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobe Salako couldn't finish the play. Finidi Ishola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Idris Eze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Idris Eze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Kalu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Eccles FC's Waga Abhiele got a free kick in the 41st minute. Idris Eze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finidi Ishola in the 43rd minute of the match. Adegun Alausa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobe Salako, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tobe Salako to strike the kick off in the second half. Langston Omoshona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Idris Eze was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonard Kalu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Waga Abhiele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eccles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waga Abhiele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonard Kalu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobe Salako kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Finidi Ishola spun around in front of the goal 83 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Eccles FC's goal. A collision led to Eccles FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Adewale Adebona hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Camberwell's Langston Omoshona in action when he in the 87th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Adegun Alausa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobe Salako in the 94th minute of play. Camberwell's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
