Bude's Uzoma Obiyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Obinna Uchara in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiagoziem Odita in the 14th minute of play forced Bude's goalkeeper Uzoma Obiyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uzoma Obiyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiagoziem Odita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bankole Umeana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olushola Tiamiyu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The audience was convinced that Chiagoziem Odita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uzoma Obiyo was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After having played for 43 minutes, Osinachi Agege managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chu Oluwashikemi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Oguejiofor Eziaghighala hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The referee ignored Bude's protests and gave Auwalu Chizoba a yellow card for diving instead. Auwalu Chizoba hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Nwakaego Babangida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Osun United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nwakaego Babangida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chiagoziem Odita might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uzoma Obiyo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chiagoziem Odita ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Bude's zone, Osinachi Agege stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uzoma Obiyo came out of the goal and Osinachi Agege tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-2 became the score in the 85th minute when Nwakaego Babangida elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Osinachi Agege struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Uzoma Obiyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Osun United. Victor Obinna Uchara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Uzoma Obiyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uzoma Obiyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nwakaego Babangida, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Chiagoziem Odita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osun United played a much better game than Bude and deserved their victory. The Bude players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
