Spectators: 6861 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After having played for 20 minutes, Festus Ephraim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redhill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Festus Ephraim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Umar John Obi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherton City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Redhill the free kick. In the 21st match minute, Netherton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umar John Obi to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Netherton City's goal looked a bit too open when Samson Chukwuma Olorunleke came free, but Tajudeen Igu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve Uja made a great header on Redhill's corner, it was just that Netherton City's Tajudeen Igu managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Redhill's Adenuga Affe got a free kick in the 34th minute. Yari Abanum kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Ubanwa Elumelu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ben Edidiong Uzoeululu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kambina Atere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Festus Ephraim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
