Ubanwa Elumelu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Tope Agbaje had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Umar John Obi charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Umar John Obi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute, Umar John Obi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tope Agbaje could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Tajudeen Igu made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Netherton City's goalkeeper Tajudeen Igu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ime Sunday Akparanta. 25 minutes into the game, Idris Amaechina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherton City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stocksbridge FC the free kick. Idris Amaechina kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Stocksbridge FC's Timothy Didam Chuku couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Netherton City. In the 30th match minute, Netherton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kambina Atere to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ime Sunday Akparanta in the 32nd minute of play forced Netherton City's goalkeeper Tajudeen Igu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tope Agbaje fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tajudeen Igu having to interfere. Kambina Atere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Onodugo Anuforo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Ime Sunday Akparanta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tajudeen Igu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Netherton City getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Udodimma Omotosho hit a great ball. Tajudeen Igu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ime Sunday Akparanta in the 45th minute of play.

52 minutes into the match, Orchena Ekpiwhire notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Stocksbridge FC's Onodugo Anuforo. Onodugo Anuforo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orchena Ekpiwhire got free with Onodugo Anuforo in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th match minute, Netherton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Idris Amaechina to maneuver through the defense. Ime Sunday Akparanta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tajudeen Igu having to make a save. A collision led to Netherton City getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Umar John Obi hit a great ball. After 91 minutes of play, Netherton City's Orchena Ekpiwhire made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Onodugo Anuforo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ime Sunday Akparanta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
