Harrison Skinn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumeto Oretan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 5 played minutes Samskid FC got a freekick which was hit by Onyemere Abanu. Harrison Skinn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Ochenehi in the 7th minute of play. Harrison Skinn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Mochaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Harrison Skinn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumeto Oretan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Samskid FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dumeto Oretan came free, but Harrison Skinn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iloerika Osiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Iroawuchi Adelabu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egutu Donatus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Samskid FC booed when Wootton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Dukumor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Tarila Sharah left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wootton Bassett fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 42nd minute Francis Ochenehi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harrison Skinn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Tarila Sharah made the kick off in the second half. Onyemere Abanu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, Samskid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Onyemere Abanu to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaac Mochaa got free with Harrison Skinn in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iloerika Osiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Egutu Donatus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iloerika Osiro couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Wootton Bassett booed when Samskid FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onyemere Abanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wootton Bassett's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
