When Rapuluolisa Belleh came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Countesthorpe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rapuluolisa Belleh couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Prudhoe getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Achua Yekini hit a great ball. Oghogho Jayeoba was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joseph Adamu. After having played for 32 minutes, Enang Imaji managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prudhoe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enang Imaji was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rapuluolisa Belleh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oghogho Jayeoba having to make a save. After 39 minutes, Bartholomew Uchara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Prudhoe and the Countesthorpe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Prudhoe getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ubani Netufo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Rapuluolisa Belleh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Countesthorpe's supporters rose to their feet, but Rapuluolisa Belleh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oghogho Jayeoba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Bartholomew Uchara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nwabuno Adedayo was the one to do the kick off. Ubani Netufo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Prudhoe's Ubani Netufo got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 79 played minutes Prudhoe got a freekick which was hit by Chidiebele Otite. Oghogho Jayeoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ohen Okon, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Kabir Ovie put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Oghogho Jayeoba.
