Afolabi Nwogu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute, Afolabi Nwogu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 44 minutes, Enemuo Baita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Southsea United and the Prudhoe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afolabi Nwogu to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Prudhoe booed when Southsea United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kodili Ogbunugwu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enang Imaji could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ettah Iwuanyanwu made a huge save. Ettah Iwuanyanwu came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Prudhoe's Enang Imaji. But to his dismay, Enang Imaji quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 80th match minute, Prudhoe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nwabuno Adedayo to maneuver through the defense. If Afolabi Nwogu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oghogho Jayeoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enemuo Baita in the 83rd minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Zikoranachukwudimma Jakada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southsea United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Prudhoe the free kick. The supporters of Prudhoe booed when Southsea United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zikoranachukwudimma Jakada didn't get a good kick on the ball.
